I’ve heard from most of my classmates stating that they cannot figure out the correct usage of it. For them, learning English is the most difficult thing that they have ever had. However, in my opinion, learning English is simple although it is complicated. Why would I say so? At the beginning, I couldn’t make head or tail of what the tenses are all about. Then only I found out all languages use the same tenses which are categorized in present, past and future. It seems easy but there are many types of tenses including present simple, present continuous, past simple, past continuous, present perfect, past perfect, future tense and so on. That’s the reason why I think English is simple but complicated. Previously I used to direct translate Chinese words to English. However, my teacher Ms. X told me that the expression of these tenses cannot be always translated directly from Chinese to English. From there I found that learning English is very interesting. Besides, the same English word has different meaning and cannot be simply used. For example, lend and borrow. These two confusing words mean the same but they have different usages. For instance, “I can lend you my book” but “I would like to borrow your book”. From what I have been through, I think learning English should be started from grammar and vocabulary because they are the main components in a sentence. This is my first time to talk *in front of* such a large audience ,so I feel a little nervous , I hope you will not laugh at me.

My English is not very good ,especially my spoken english. And i *am not very good at* exprss myself. Speaking of my English learning, though *i don’t think i have any gift, i am not very poor at it.

Because of my personal character ,i am quite interested in computer ,but I am not lost in playing computer games.(board of it already哈哈—你随意，我就是想到这里) i’ve gained lots of experience through a large amount of practices. And i ‘d like to be a software engineer in the future. I guess it doesn’t need much ability of speaking. It just *suits* me. Moreover ,nowadays this career is in a big demand in the society .if i couldn’t study well in some major subjects ,i would choose to be a software engineer~
